Converting Ps Games To Pc
Can we convert PlayStation games to PC format? The answer is no. You cannot convert because they are 2 different formats. Instead, an emulator is the solution. Not all versions of PlayStation games can be played on PC, even with the emulator. Up-to-date, only PS1 and PS2 can do that but may be limited to a number of games.
Is it legal to play a PS game on PC with emulator? The answer is "Yes" and "No". If you are playing the trial version giving out free by the publisher, you are on the safe side.
What is an emulator? It is a duplicator that duplicates functions from one system to another. So when you use an emulator to copy PlayStation games to your PC, the emulator will imitate all the behaviours of a character, background music, actions, and others; as if just the same as original.
How to install the emulator?
Step 1:
Search and download emulator from the Internet. Get the ePSXe 1.7.0 or higher so that latest games can be emulated. Make sure you read the requirements and /or specifications before installing it.
Step 2:
Install the downloaded emulator into your PC. Launch ePSXe. Choose the option that says "Config" and "Wizard Guide". Follow the given instructions to setup your emulator.
Step 3:
Choose the option that says "Config" and go the "Game Pad". If you have USB game controller, connect it to your PC now. The emulator will automatically assign the port number for it. Make sure that the emulator is able to detect the controller before you can use it. If the controller is not usable, take it to the game shop for a check up.
Step 4:
Now, put in your PlayStation CD into your disk drive. If your emulator was configured as "Auto Run", the game will automatically load. Otherwise choose "File" and "Run CD-ROM". If you have an image file that you have copied into your hard drive, choose the option "Run Iso". The game will then run normal.
If you follow the instructions correctly, there shouldn't be any problem. If a problem does occur, it may be caused by corrupted files or hardware problem. Then you will have to uninstall the whole setup and reinstall again.
