how many times can you record over a digital video cassette for a camcorder?
I just bought a JVC video recorder that i can copy the videos to my PC so then I just record over the tape again and again how many times can i do this?
NOTE:
the tapes i use are: fuji DVCassette 60 Mini DV (70.4/230ft.)
Basically you can record over and over until the tape physically breaks or becomes digitally unusable. 3 times is just someone's opinion. And the fact you get 3 labels is no indication of the tapes ability to be used over and over.
Let's say you've used the tape a few times and now you are about to video the most important event in your life...and the tape breaks. Or worse, there's no indication that there's something digitally wrong with the tape, you keep filiming and when you play it back, you get garbage.
In other words, DV tapes are less than $3.00 each and compared to the "value" of special memories it is not worth the savings. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
